Tymoshenko Stands Firm

Despite international pressure, criticism from the outgoing president of Ukraine, and parliamentary moves for a "no confidence vote" by her opponents, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is standing firm in challenging the vote count in the recent election between her and Yanukovych. So dissimilar to the many weasel-like politicians in the United States, Tymoshenko has courageously and defiantly not conceded the election in the two weeks since it was held, and she is determined that a proper investigation of the vote count takes place. If only Tymoshenko could counsel America's Democratic Party weaklings in Congress, we might could have a multiple party system for the first time in a long time instead of the two-sided one party system now in place.
